Name: Ian Utile Gender: Male Location: Costa Mesa, CA Age: 27
Ian, along with his wife Johnna, founded the Take No Glory MUSICIANARY ministry. It has been an exciting adventure for them during the last two years! By God's grace, Ian is a visionary and leader and loves to joyfully serve Jesus. During the last year he has recruited, trained, and lead more than a dozen full-time volunteers through Asia, Europe, and The States on a 5-month "world tour." With the Holy Spirit's help, he organized and promoted more than 100 evangelistic concerts on those three continents. The Take No Glory website has been accessed by more than 135 countries with 250,000+ song downloads. 1. What does worship mean to you?
To worship in a general sense is to make little or nothing of oneself and make MUCH of the object of worship. More specifically as a Christian, we worship Jesus by exalting Him and submitting to Him through our actions, thoughts and desires. Like the great worshiper (John the Baptist) said, "More of Him and less of me."
2. What do you think happens when you worship?
I am connectiing to God in the greatest way possible this side of heaven. I am acting like the creation I was made to me by following the instruction manual for the human life. I find that praising God through song is a really effective form of worship because I forget about myself and truly "worship" Jesus.
3. What causes you to worship?
The incredible overwhelming power and majesty of God. The love and disciplene of my Father. The glory and example of Christ. The comfort and conviction of the Holy Spirit. The thankfullness and graditude I feel for my life.
4. How is worship displayed in your life?
Prayer, spending time listening to God by reading the Bible, submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit, laying my life down for my wife as Jesus has done for me, doing ministry with genuine motives, selflessly serving others, and many other ways...
5. What is your favorite song and why?
That always changes! Right now, it is likely one of our new songs called "GO (muscianaries anthem)" I feel like the words are the cry of my life. Otherwise, any song my wife or Scott Cunningham writes is my favorite song. God has given both of them a special annionting to lead me into worship through singing praises :)
